Сегодня моя субличность "советская бабка" таки вырвалась наружу, и я выгнала нахер парочку флиртующих школьников с тихого этажа библиотеки 🔥 Я, конечно, понимаю, что в кафешках сидеть дорого, а в библиотеке бесплатно, но блин, ЧЕТЫРЕ этажа, где можно трепаться, и ОДИН тихий, и вот надо же чмокаться именно тут... 😶 А вообще я открыла для себя практически идеальную Королевскую Библиотеку (типа нашей Ленинки), куда мож…

Самое большое разочарование, когда переводишь книгу про Антарктиду: что ничего лучше и точнее, чем "ебеня", не существует в русском языке для всех этих in the middle of nowhere, back of beyond и всех прочих remote places, которые тут на каждой странице по пять раз...

Вышел новый выпуск подкаста «Зависит от контекста» 🎙 На этот раз разговор снова получился очень личным и неожиданно глубоким. Мы начинали с беседы о родительстве и работе, а пришли к вопросам, которые, кажется, волнуют почти всех родителей: можно ли не передать детям собственные травмы? Достаточно ли быть хорошим человеком, чтобы быть хорошим родителем? И возможно ли вообще оградить ребенка от всего сложного и болез…

К слову о точности перевода, даже в использовании эмодзи и форматирования, даже если это просто записка фломастером на дверь, предупреждающая о сломанном звонке… 🙃 Звонок, кстати, не работал, потому что у нас неделю не было вайфая 🥲 Так и не поняли, сломан был шнур, штука в стене или всё вместе, но с божьей помощью (это по ощущениям, а на самом деле с помощью чувака от провайдера и немного чатагпт) вроде бы всё зара…

Пока горю в огне приближающего дедлайна с самой убыточной редактурой в моей жизни (🙈) и не могу рассказать про ВСЯКОЕ, быстренько, но горячо порекомендую мой любимый книжный клуб на нидерландском! В прошлом году я пропустила «Сверчка», потому что рожала 😅 Так что иду в этом. Это уже четвертый мой книжный клуб с Ириной 🔥 И останавливаться на достигнутом я не собираюсь 😅

#переводчикиокнигах Сегодня у меня в гостях Женя Астафьева, литературный переводчик английского, французского и нидерландского, редактор, автор канала Женя и ее пять работ. Сравнительно недавно Женя стала мамой, поэтому я спросила ее, какие три книги она обязательно прочитает сыну и почему. «Маленький принц» (перевод Н. Галь) Уже не в первый раз при подобном вопросе Сент-Экзюпери как-то сразу всплывает в моей голове…
