حاول ألّا تُعوِّل كثيرًا على ثناء الناس، ولا سيما الكُتّاب والأدباء؛ فإنهم قليلًا ما يجودون بذلك.. والتعلّق بهذا الثناء مُحبط.
نعم، عليك أن تتواصل مع من تثق بملكتهم، وأن تعرِض عليهم ما تكتب، وتشاورهم، وتسمع منهم الثناء والنقد؛ فهذا من أعظم ما يؤسّس مَلَكَتك وينمّيها.
لكن كثيرًا من الدعم، والأثر الطيب، والإشباع الروحي الذي يحتاجه الكاتب؛ تحسّه من عموم الناس، ممن يقرؤك بحاسّت…
جزء عظيم من معاناة الإنسان المعاصر -شعرَ أم لم يشعر- أنه يشاهد أخبار العالم كله.. حتى أخبار التفاهة والتافهين، وفي هذا إشغالٌ للنفس، وتشتيت، وإرهاق..
وما أعظم وأجمع هذه القاعدة التي أسسها النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-:

فمن أراد الفلاح، والنجاح في دينه ودنياه؛ فليترك ما لا يعنيه، ولينشغل بما يعنيه.
أذى الناس -قريبهم وبعيدهم- قد يكون من أعظم أسباب قرب الإنسان من مولاه جل وعلا.. فالجنة كما أنها حُفّت بالمكاره، فإن من أسباب سلوك سبيلها: المكاره التي تدفع الإنسان إلى الالتجاء إلى الله وإصلاح العلاقة معه، فضلًا عن كون الأذى، مع الصبر عليه واحتسابه، سببًا لأجورٍ عظيمة يدخل بها الجنة.
فإذا كنتَ مع الله، فكل ما يصيبك -يا عبد الله- خير، وعواقبه سعيدة حميدة ولله الحمد.
المساجد رياضٌ من الجنة مبثوثةٌ في هذه الدنيا..
قال صلى الله عليه وسلم ("إذا مررتم برياض الجنة فارتعوا"، قيل: وما رياض الجنة؟ قال: "المساجد"، قيل: وما الرتع؟ قال: "سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر").
إنها -والله- من أعظم موارد السكينة والطمأنينة..
تجلس في المسجد، تقرأ القرآن، وتدعو، وتذكر الله، وتنعَم بذلك؛ فما تغبط أهلَ القصور، ولا تجد في الدنيا لذةً تفوق تلك اللذة!
اللهم وفقنا لذلك واجع…

أكثر ما يعين الإنسان على هذي الأمور ويقويه: خوض التجربة وتحمّل بعض المسؤوليات منذ الصغر، وكلما زاد العمر زاد حجم المسؤليات، وهكذا. أي أن يعيش طبيعياً لا معزولاً عن الحياة في الخارج -خارج النفس والبيت- وأن يكون له نشاط يمارسه، وأصدقاء يصاحبهم، وأن يتعرض لمواقف يُقدّر ردة فعله تجاهها، ويصيب فيها ويُخطئ، ويتعلم من كل ذلك، ويتعود على كسرة الخاطر وخيبة الأمل أحياناً، وعلى شيء من أذى الناس..

صحيح أن النضج، والشعور بكِبَر السن، يحدثان تدريجيًّا بشكل لا يُلاحظ، كحركة الظل، لكن في لحظة ما قد تشعر أنك تقدّمت في العمر فجأة؛ في لحظة انتباه وحضور كثيف، كأنما كبرت في لحظة، لا في عمر!
حتى في الأيام التي يعاني فيها المرء من ضغط العمل، يستطيع محبُّ القراءة -حسب ما يتيسّر له من الوقت- أن يخرج في نزهةٍ قرائية، ثقافية أو أدبية، يأخذ فيها عقله وقلبه في جولةٍ بين عقول الآخرين وقلوبهم، فيعود أكثر نشاطًا وإقبالًا على شأنه.
القراءة مساحةٌ إضافية لاستعادة لياقة النفس وحيويتها.
أنت تعيش في أنواعٍ من العزّ قد لا تنتبه لها:
عزّ العافية في دينك ودنياك،
وعزّ الأمن،
وعزّ الرزق،
وعزّ الستر،
وعزّ العائلة،
وغير ذلك كثير.
فكل نعمةٍ من الله يتعزّز بها الإنسان ويَغنى، وإن اعترى تلك النعمَ شيءٌ من النقص، وهو مما لا بدّ منه في هذه الدنيا، دارِ النقص والتنغيص.
فلا يفوتنّك شكرُ الله على ما عرفتَ من نعمه وما لم تعرف، ولا يَغِبْ عنك استشعارُها؛ فإن ذلك من أعظم بواعث الشكر، والسعادة، وانشراح الصدر.

لا تستهلك قلبك، ولا مشاعرك، ولا صحتك في خلافاتٍ لا ثمرة لها. فالأصل هو الإعراض عن الجاهل، ما لم يترتب على هذا الإعراض مفسدةٌ أكبر، متحققةٌ لا مظنونة..
أما من يقف عند كل خلاف، ويردّ على كل كلمة، بل على كل إشارة وكل حركة، ويشكك بها، ويُكثر من قول: «سأردّ الصاع صاعين»، و«أنا ما ينداس لي على طرف»؛ فهذا -فيما رأيناه واقعًا- من أكثر الناس تعبًا، وتنغيصًا، وحزنًا، وأقلِّهم صحةً وهناءً.
