На еврейском кладбище города Белёв Тульской области в июне 2023 г. мы обнаружили: 9 надробных памятников (мацев), 1 табличку, а также несколько фрагментов памятников и оснований

Вот что открылось нашему взору после нескольких часов расчистки кладбища силами четырёх десятков волонтеров 🪚🌳 Оказалось, что деревья здесь уже пилили относительно недавно, и вся эта буйная растительность выросла где-то за 1,5 года 🌱🌿🌳 Надгробных памятников было обнаружено не много, но среди них есть очень интересные, будем показывать их отдельно с комментариями 🔎

Начинаем наш полевой сезон на еврейском кладбище города Белёв Тульской области 🔍 Собственно, зелёные заросли на фото — это и есть еврейский участок городского кладбища, за ним сейчас, к сожалению, никто не ухаживает 😭 10 реакций — и смотрим, что удалось найти в этих непролазных кустах! 🌳🔎🪦

С 2003 г. еврейское кладбище в Могилёве закрыто: захоронения допускаются только в уже существующие могилы близких родственников. Во время нашей работы мы видели много свежих могил и часто встречали родственников умерших. Для нас это было необычное условие работы: в большинстве случаев еврейские кладбища, которые мы каталогизируем, являются не действующими.

По рассказам представителей общины, после того как сторожа на еврейском кладбище в Могилёве не стало, оно стало подвергаться разорению: вандалы забирали надгробия из ценных материалов, чтобы перебить надпись и использовать стелу повторно, или просто выбрасывали мацеву в сторону, чтобы сделать новое захоронение на этом месте. Еврейская община в этом городе была довольно большая и богатая, а потому могла себе позволить ставить красивые и дорогие надгробные памятники.
