كان جمال الدين القاسمي رحمه الله يصبر على أذى الخصوم، من ذلك أن القاضي حكم له مرة بحق على غاصب مدع، فاضطر خصمه لأداء الحق، ولكنه أسمعه بذيء الكلام، مما دفع تلميذا له كان معه أن يغضب لأستاذه ،ويجابه الخصم بالتأنيب، فلامه القاسمي قائلا:أصلحك الله، شخص صعب عليه أداء الحق، ففرج عن نفسه بكلمات لا تضرني، بل أؤجر عليها بصبري، فاتركه يفعل ما بدا له.
