وهنا لا بد من الإشارة إلى مفارقة عشتها وعاشها الإسلاميون المناضلون في إيران، وهي تعاطفنا الشديد مع «سيد قطب» وفكره الحركي وتعاطفنا أيضاً مع قاتله «جمال عبد الناصر». لقد بكيت عند سماع خبر إعدام سيد قطب، وبكيت أيضاً لدى سماعي نبأ موت عبد الناصر. السياسة قائمة على مبدأ المصالح، لا مبدأ الأقرب دينيا وايدولوجيا، فمسالة من الأقرب لنا لا تقدم ولا تؤخر في الواقع السياسي، اكبر عقبة في فهم السياسة لدى الاسلامي هو أنه يعاملها معاملة المتن الفقهي المجرد، لا وفق مبادئ مرنة ومصالح متغيرة، فمن تعامل مع المبادئ السياسة كتعامله مع المتون الفقهية فهو مافهم السياسة ولا الفقه واصوله.
