( يا أيها الذين ءامنوا ما لكم إذا قيل لكم انفروا في سبيل الله اثّاقلتم إلى الأرض أرضيتم بالحيوٰة الدنيا من الآخرة فما متاع الحيوٰة الدنيا في الآخرة إلا قليل ) . العبد في اختبار دائم فإما أن ينفر في سبيل الله ويُعرض عن الدنيا إذا حضر داعي الله، وإما أن يرضى بالدنيا غير مهتم بأمر الله! فتش في نفسك إذا جاءك أمر من الله وأمر دنيوي أيهما تقدم؟ إذا نادى المنادي: الله أكبر ونادتك الدنيا بتجاراتها.. أيهما تُقدم.
القاعدة في الفرق: أن الانحراف يبدأ صغيرا ثم يكبر! فلا تتهاون في أي شرّ تراه، لا تتهاون في أي انحراف يمر بك... كل نبتة سامّة كان غذاؤها القليل من السم! مثال: ترى الحدث معظما للسلف مثلا لكن سلوكه على غير هديهم في معالجة القضايا فما يلبث إلا أن تراه منحرفا! -
تمرّ على المرء أحداث لا يحسن لها وصفا، ولا يجد في حروفه لمعاني قلبه سبكا غير أن يتحسس في حروف الأوائل عساهُ أن يبرّح مافيه.. ومن ذلك قول كُثيّر: "وما مر من يوم عليّ كيومها وإن عظمت أيامٌ اخرى وجلّتِ!" نعم ثمّة أحداثٌ تسرق القلب من كل شيء إلا من مصابه، فكأنما وُتر ذاكرته إلا من ذلك اليوم الذي ابتُلي فيه! -
ما أحوج قلوبنا في هذا الزمن الذي تطاغت فيه الفتن؛ أن يكون لها ورد دائم من كتاب الفتن وأشراط الساعة من صحيح الإمام مسلم-مثلا-.. فإنه نور يجلّي الظلمة، وعدّة يتترس بها المؤمن. -

وجرت عادة المخالفين لطريقة السلف في الدعوة إلى الله؛ أن يهتموا بااستدرار العواطف لتكون حبلا يقودون به الناس إلى دائرتهم، والوقوف في صفهم... -
ليس الخطيب من يجيد وصف الأزمات، ولا من يُحسن استدرارَ العواطف بتعداد المآسي والآلام؛ فإن الناس أدرى بواقعهم، وأبصرُ بما يكتنفهم من ضيقٍ وبلاء... إنما الخطيبُ المصلح هو الذي يحمل إلى القلوب نورَ الوحي، ويهديها إلى سبيل الخلاص، فيُشخِّص الداء على هدي الكتاب والسنة، ويصف الدواء، ويعالج القضايا المظلمة فيبددها بنور الوحي! ومنشأ الغلط ومثاره؛ الابتعاد عن هدي السلف ومنهجهم في الدعوة إلى الله، والانجرار وراء العواطف واللعب…
