昨晚《公僕仝人，與民同行》的總參與人數超過四萬人。 放下職員證、脫下制服後，我們都是香港人。 希望透過是次和平集會，政府的管治團隊能更廣泛聆聽港人的聲音並正面回應市民的訴求。只有重建市民對政府的管治信心，方能使施政重回正軌，讓公務員繼續緊守崗位，各司其職。惟有如此，香港才有契機讓各方和解，走出創傷，再次向前。 公務員團隊會繼續在履行職責時恪守政治中立的原則、不偏不倚，以及全心全意、竭盡所能服務市民。 在此感謝所有昨晚身體力行的「香港人」，及因事未能親身到場支持的人，亦衷心感謝每一位協助籌備及宣傳的義工/網民。我們每一個香港人都很愛香港這個家。 香港人，加油！

公務員集會結束 王永平稱出席無違反政治中立 公務員晚上在遮打花園集會9時許結束，發起人在台上呼籲參加者和平散去，又表示這是對公務員最大保障。部分參加者散去時大叫「星期一罷工」。集會人士坐滿整個遮打花園，外圍的遮打道、昃臣道、附近天橋也站滿人。集會期間，現場落大雨，大批參加者撐著傘參加。公務員事務局前局長王永平在台上發言表示，自己當年撰寫公務員守則有關政治中立的字眼，有資格表示公務員今次出席集會，無違反政治中立；又說公務員不是對行政長官個人忠誠，而是對體制忠誠。他說守則第一條要求公務員堅守法治，無人能超乎法治，如果問責官員違反法治，作為公務員有責任指出。有退休運輸署公務員發言時則說，正因為公務員要保持政治中立，希望能成立獨立調查委員會，向年輕人有個交代、亦給予同屬公務員的警察公正評價。集會亦邀請不同界別人士出席發言，其中公民黨立法會議員陳淑莊表示無法想像公務員押上工作和前途，指出政府犯錯，但政府不知錯而恐嚇公務員，批評政府做法卑…

王永平：公務員以個人身份行使政治權不違政治中立原則 有公務員在晚上發起集會。公務員事務局前局長王永平，接受本台節目《千禧年代》電話訪問時表示，公務員在《基本法》下享有政治權利，但部分職系的權利受限制，例如政務主任、首長級官員、新聞官及紀律部隊，認為公務員以個人身份行使政治權利，包括舉行集會，過往亦曾出現，相信不存在違反政治中立的原則。王永平相信，公務員公開地表示因為某些政治性訴求而罷工，可能違反政治中立原則，但具體情況則由政府判斷及決定，包括涉及違反甚麼規例、是否需要紀律聆訊等，期望政府若指控某一公務員對政府不忠誠，違反中立原則等，一定要清楚講述情況。王永平表示，政府應該就反對修訂《逃犯條例》事件作出反省，指出公務員同時是香港市民，若他們想法與其他市民無分別，認為政府做得不對，希望表達意見，不會因而影響服務市民的態度及工作，是值得政府正面看待，認為政府應該採取包容態度對待。有公務員致電節目表示，見到公務員事務局昨日發表的聲明感…
