ومن السنن أن شارب اللبن لا يصلي إلا أن يمضمض، وقد جاء بذلك الحديث وعلل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ذلك بأن له دسما، وقد كان يفعل ذلك عدد من الصحابة ولا يظهر أن المضمضمة واجبة لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم علل الفعل بوجود الدسم، علمنا أن الأمر كان على جهة النظافة.
