قيل لأبي عبد الله -أحمد بن حنبل-: بأي شيء نستعين على قصر الأمل؟ قال: ما ندري إنما هو توفيق. [١] هذا جوابٌ من ربّانيٍ عاقل؛ ثَمّ أمور عظيمة لا تُستجلب بحيلة، ولا تحصل بعلمٍ ولا عمل، إنما هي أنوار يبديها الله كيف شاء لمن شاء متى شاء، فسبحانه لا متوجّه إلا إليه، ولا معوّل -في جميع الأمور- إلا عليه. ——- [١] جامع العلوم والحكم ص٨١٧.
