Отвечая на этот вопрос, слово ruski, Ruś сохранилось в фразеологизмах как раз потому, что придуманы они были в прошлом, когда слово ruski было в ходу и не имело пейоративного значения.

Ещё есть выражение "gdzie Rzym, gdzie Krym" («Где Рим, а где Крым?»). Так говорят, чтобы подчеркнуть, что две вещи никак не связаны между собой и их нельзя сравнивать. Ещё в польских выражениях есть упоминания казаков. Они жили и в Польше, как известно. И в современном польском языке kozak означает человека отважного (иногда до дури), сильного и, что называется, крутого, а прилагательное kozacki — это что-то очень залихватское. Ещё есть выражение про украинский город Бердичев: Pisz do mnie na Berdyczów — «пиши мне на Бердичев». Это шутливый намёк собеседнику, что мы не желаем продолжать с ним общение. Аналог нашего «на деревню дедушке».
