Кино на ночь (и последний пост о Маке на долгое время, клянусь): Второй полнометражный фильм Терренса Малика и любимый фильм Кормака. Честно говоря, я всегда считал, что работы этих прекрасных творцов взаимовлияли друг на друга, в ранних работах Малика ощущалось раннее настроение Маккарти, будто то идеальная экранизация — не по букве, а по духу. И до сих пор так считаю. Похоже, и Мак считал так же.

Прошло три дня моего отпуска, биография Кормака "по горячим следам" дочитана, и мне нужно высказаться. В случае работы Трейси Доэрти, биографа Дидион, Бартельми и Макмерти, "горячие" следы не всегда горячи, поскольку подавляющая часть материала взята из открытых источников и, по сути, для искушенного маккартихэда, потратившего чуть больше среднего на изучение жизни Кормака, в общих красках не представляет ничего нов…
