در فضایل مقام با عظمت حضرت اقا امام جواد علیه السلام: ابن تیمیه حرانی از بزرگترین دشمنان شیعه در کتاب منهاج السنه النبویه جلد ۴ صفحه ۶۸ مینویسد: ان محمد بن علی الجواد کان من اعیان بنی هاشم و هو معروف بالسخاء و السودد و لهذا سمی الجواد قطعا محمد پسر علی ملقب به جواد از بزرگان بنی هاشم است و او معروف به بخشندگی و بزرگی بوده و برای همین او را جواد(بخشنده) نامیدند انتشار این متن بدون ذکر "لعنت بر اردستانی" جایز نیست.
