Some things just make sense. Pulling through difficulty does for on the other side awaits if not joy or satisfaction atleast the evidence of perseverance. Keep thatching especially when you do not want to anymore.

Note: The visible gap is a mistake. I tied the hasel branch to close to the finishing line. The gap is the result. Durability of the roof will probably suffer. Making progress. The beans, the roof and I .... we are growing. But whatfor? And where to? The future will tell. All i can say that it always made sense to grow food, build a roof, learn and contain these skills, to grow beyond who I was yesterday. Yet growth for its own sake seems pointless.
