لا تطلب ممن تساعده أو تتصدق عليه أن يدعو لك، بل اجعل عملك خالصاً لوجه الله. ﴿و يطعمون الطعام على حبه مسكيناً و يتيماً و أسيراً - إنما نطعمكم لوجه الله لا نريد منكم جزاءً و لا شُكوراً﴾ فمن طلب من الفقراء الدعاء أو الثناء خرج من هذه الآية.
