華語影壇的年度盛事，第五十七屆台灣金馬獎今晚（21 日）如常舉行。曾執導電影《十年・浮瓜》的香港導演郭臻，憑短片作品《夜更》獲得金馬獎「最佳劇情短片」。郭臻雖未能親身到場，由領獎人代其讀出得獎感言。他指《夜更》是屬於世界上每一個擁抱良知的香港人，等待黎明到來之時，再交還獎項予大家，最後更表示「願自由歸於人民」，時候尚早，勉勵大家依然要繼續加油，「SAVE 12」毋忘12港人。 《夜更》是繼《浮瓜》後，郭臻第二部直接涉及政治題材的作品。故事結構簡單，描寫的士司機一晚之間遇到的人與事。電影於去年底反送中運動期間拍攝，當中有鏡頭是真實抗爭場面，如警員舉槍指向記者群等。郭臻拍攝團隊更曾引起示威者懷疑，一度被攔截，要求下車解釋拍片意圖；亦試過遭警方喝止，被迫暫停拍攝。 另外，香港導演李哲昕作品、講述烏坎村事件的《迷航》則贏得最佳紀錄片。
