И постскриптум: мне очень нравится, что у нас продолжают придумывать историзм, Эпос Серебрякова /а также другие его заказные работы/ тому очень хороший пример. Национальный характер Эпоса ведь не в том, что у нас когда-то так писали — отнюдь, у нас в те времена писали совсем иначе, но в том, что мы знаем о нашем прошлом и его не стесняемся

В нулевых и позже надписи что на новых станциях, что на старых стали набирать тем же, чем и объявления в Ворде — Таймсом, Джорджией, Школьной. Это можно было бы назвать минским стилем... но знаете, так не хочется! Что ж, квітней, мая сталіца, родны сэрцу горад мой! /и привіт КТФ, они показывают, чем действительно стоит заниматься и нам, белорусам/

А теперь загадка для читателей, незнакомых с историей минского метро: в каком порядке открывались станции второй линии? Подсказка: пять станций открыли в составе первой очереди, через год открыли одну /хотя должны были открыть вместе с первыми/, потом ещё две, ещё позже — ещё две, и одну уже последней из всех этих

И если бы я выбирал для описания Минска один шрифт, одну манеру надписей, то я выбрал бы именно этих траянских пони, какими бы смешными в деталях они ни были /к сожалению, по некоторым надписям прекрасно видно, что буквы у нас складывать умеют не очень хорошо, особенно после ремонта переходов/ Мне кажется важным выделить эту гуманистическую манеру, потому что в целом историзм и гуманизм очень характерны для белорус…

Но после первой линии была и вторая! И вот надписи на входах станций второй линии и заставили задуматься. В конце семидесятых в Минске перешли от /почти исключительно/ модернизма к исторической реконструкции /одно из ключевых имён — Сергей Багласов/, и пробным камнем стало Троицкое предместье. Эту реконструкцию много критиковали — мол, вышло неисторично, прянично /тут даже сами авторы были недовольны тем, что власти…
Как ни странно, сталинский монументализм оставил в Минске не так много надписей, скорее больше цифр. На ум приходят только буквы с лангбардовских Дома офицеров* и Академии наук да уже послевоенного Суворовского училища* — крайне неуклюжие, вычерченные антиквы, одинаково далёкие и от Траяновой колонны, и от кларендонов, по-своему любопытные, но... Послевоенный наш модернизм разнообразен и тоже достоин изучения, и тут …
Минск не был видным центром книгопечатания, надписей до XIX века практически не сохранилось, почти весь XIX век можно найти на Кальварийском кладбище /и чуточку у костёла святого Роха/, да и там нет чего-то специфично белорусского, скорее франкофильская польско-русская эклектика. Ни модерн, ни конструктивизм не оставили ни одной заметной надписи, но начиная с рубежа веков хоть как-то развивается белорусская печать, а…

Вчера в Минске отмечали день города /почему в сентябре? повлияло бурное празднование 850-летия Москвы?/, и это повод сломать writer’s block и хоть что-то написать. Вот смотришь на то, как в других городах и странах изучают местные традиции и стили, и думаешь, а какова вообще минская типографика? каково её наследие, каковы её родовые черты? агульная млявасць ды абыякавасць да графічнай формы что эдакого можно вытащит…
