Продолжая тему Горгон. На острове Лесбос находится часовня Панагии Горгоны, которая так называется из-за необычной (для нас) фрески с Богородицей-русалкой. Местночтимый образ существует в двух вариантах — Богородица с хвостом (обложка книги Стратиса Миривилиса) и Богородица на рыбе . Подозреваю, на втором изображении из пасти кита выглядывает Иона.
