По первому раунду складывалось впечатление, что у «Эдмонтона» есть какой-то план, и они точно понимают, что делают. В любой момент команда может включиться и изменить ход встречи или серии. Кажется, что пройдя путь до финала в прошлом году, команда поняла, как им нужно действовать в плей-офф. По рисунку игры видно, что у них все под контролем.
Я думал, лига на первый матч серии сделает постер с фотографиями Овечкина и Свечникова, намекая на их противостояние в плей-офф 2019 года. В первом раунде против «Нью-Джерси» Андрей был очень заметен и полезен, набрав 6 (5+1) очков в 5 матчах.
