במהלך נאומו סנואר התייחס לפיגוע באריאל כפיגוע יחידי, ולא כמשהו מאורגן של ארגון כלשהו, במיוחד לא של החמאס. משמע - סנואר לא ידע על הפיגוע, זהות היורים וכדו', מה שכנראה יכול להצביע כי הפיגוע לא באמת אוכוון ישירות ע"י חמאס אלא שהמחבלים מזוהי חמאס - מה שעוד יותר מחריג את לקיחת האחריות. **ראינו בעבר לקיחת חסות של חמאס על מחבלים שחוסלו, אבל לקיחת אחריות רשמית על הפיגוע ע"י הזרוע הצבאית לא ראינו מאז 2018.
