Путин подписал указ об установлении 8 июля дня семьи, любви и верности (в день памяти покровителей супружества - святых Петра и Февронии Муромских). Этот праздник стал широко отмечаться в 2008 и считается альтернативой западному дню святого Валентина (14 февраля). Теперь он закреплен президентским указом.
