Our summer doldrums are here and here to stay for a while. Set your wathes from noon-5pm sport showers and isolated storms with lightning and thunder will dot VIPER radar. Outside of rain areas its 9294°. Ares with rain can drop into the upper 70s.

This is life in a ring of fire pattern. You either bake in the fire or catch the ring of storms that runs around it. Unfortunately, Louisiana continues to bake in the fire and miss out on the storms which are loving Mississippi as of late.

The heat for SE LA/S MS continues today and tomorrow. Remember to take breaks in the shade and AC and hydrate. We will have a very slight cooldown starting Thursday as showers and storms increase in chances. But still practice heat safety!

This may be the healthiest that Bertha will look during its lifespan. Wind shear and dry air has kept the center nearly rain-free. A sign this storm will struggle to strengthen further.
Upper level winds are suppose to push it west today. However, it’s been moving more NNW. The next recon data comes out soon and we’ll get an even better picture. The NHC still calls for a late-day landfall in SE LA. Highest impacts w…

Showers/storms will likely begin to pop up this afternoon especially along/west of the I-55 corridor.
A few storms in SW areas could be strong/severe as we get into the evening hours and will be mainly capable of locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Small hail and a brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out though they would be less likely compared to damaging wind gusts/locally heavy rain.
Stay weathe…

Showing the 12 most recent of 16 posts we hold for @thecajunlife. View and reaction counts are the latest single reading for each post, not a live figure, and a recent post is still accumulating both. A view count marked ≈ was rounded by Telegram before we ever saw it — t.me prints views in full below 1,000 and to three significant figures above, so ≈1,200,000 means somewhere between 1,150,000 and 1,249,999. Unmarked counts are exact. Text is reproduced from the public post preview and truncated for length.
