پروین_اعتصامی ، پس از کسب افتخارات فراوان و درست در زمانی که برادرش – ابوالفتح اعتصامی - دیوانش را برای چاپ دوم آن حاضر می کرد ، ناگهان در روز سوم فروردین 1320 بستری شد پزشک معالج او ، بیماری اش را حصبه تشخیص داده بود ، اما در مداوای او کوتاهی کرد و متاسفانه زمان درمان او گذشت و شبی حال او بسیار بد شد و در بستر مرگ افتاد.
