Ситуация, конечно, менялась при Хрущёве и особенно Брежневе — с каждой пятилеткой доля дорог с твёрдым покрытием существенно росла даже в РСФСР (правда и качество этого самого твёрдого покрытия оставляло желать лучшего, но всё лучше грунтовки в межсезонье!), а показатели автомобилизации поднялись с уровня самых осталых стран Африки до... уровня средних стран Африки. Поправка: в южных регионах РСФСР с автомобилизацией сельской местности всё было не так плохо, да и частный сектор городов там не столь сносился и маргинализовался. Но это по советским, а точнее даже РСФСРовским меркам и только в 1980-е, ну может 1970-е более-менее. Тем временем нищая РФ только между 1993 и 1995 (годы с известно каким состоянием экономики) поднимала автомобилизацию на уровень, на который у СССР уход…

Я почему-то думал, что к модели под названием Kadett Opel после войны не возвращался, но нет -- она производилась под таким названием, иронично, до 1991 года, а после него переименовалась в известную всем Астру. Причём последний именно Кадет через Южную Корею релоцировался в Узбекистан и стал ещё более всем известной Дэу Нексией, этим Фордом Т каримовского Узбекистана.
