Un moderno, nato dopo la diffusione della Volksschule prussiana, ha un'enorme difficoltà a comprendere l'alfabetizzazione anche solo precedente alla sua invenzione. Per Bianca Pitzorno sarebbe stato meglio rimanere a scrivere storie per ragazzi. È chiaramente un ambito in cui si sente più a suo agio e dove riesce ad essere originale e innovativa. La distopia resta il genere più pigro e generico esistente. Il mondo distopico non ha alcuna ragione di essere credibile in virtù delle sue evocazioni allegoriche. Piccola nota, questa è stata a lungo la procedura normale di rilegatura di un libro. Si stampa in folio (un foglione enorme) e poi si ripiega un tot di volte per creare i vari formati (in quarto, in ottavo, ecc).
