В своем рассказе "Каштанка, Бишка и Запятайка" всем известный дрессировщик Дуров упоминал о талантливой собаке и о ее прежнем хозяине столяре. Дуров рассказал Антону Павловичу о суде из-за Каштанки и о том, что собаку присудили знаменитому дрессировщику. Но Чехов не написал об этом. А.П. Чехов изменил концовку реальной истории про собаку Каштанку. Настоящая Каштанка так и осталась в цирке и не вернулась к первому хозяину. Хотя Каштанку, и правда, признали во время выступления на арене цирка. Рассказ о том, как собака откликнулась на свою кличку и узнала своих хозяев в разгар выступления, долго гулял по улицам Москвы. Хочется знать мнение современного читателя: почему А. П. Чехов изменил концовк…
