وزیر کشور آقای انس خطاب در مصاحبه ای با شبکه خبری سوریه گفت: وزارتخانه و دستگاههای امنیتی در دوران حافظ الاسد و پسرش بشار، منبع ترس و نگرانی برای سوری ها در داخل و خارج کشور بودند. به همین دلیل ما تصمیم به بازسازی وزارتخانه و تغییر مفهوم کار امنیتی گرفتیم
