Одинокая белая женщина (Барбет Шредер, 1992) Фильм, прилетевший из прошлого, где люди еще не знали про токсичные отношения. 2. Train Dreams (2025) Фильм, очень красивый (одни только дальние планы чего стоят), строится вокруг гибели семьи. Слишком много умилительных кадров с женой и с ребенком, едва начавшим ходить, лепетать и делать милые глупости. Эпизод с девочкой-волком прописан невнятно, в Wolfman авторы играть не стали. Грейнер — тихий, задумчивый гуманист, почти Платон Каратаев. И фильм как будто предлагает ему слишком много объясн…

1. «Сны поездов» Денниса Джонсона Повесть была впервые опубликована в Paris Review, а значит, вещь, может быть, и не хватающая звезд, но крепкая. Про то, что есть некая эпоха и она закончилась, канула в небывальщину. Написано исходно в 2002 году, а кажется, что в 1960-е. Видимо, потому что путь героя, Роберта Грейнера, упирается в дату полета в космос и тура Пресли на поезде через Америку. Уже из шестидесятых строит…

Франкенштейн Есть что-то трогательное в том, чтобы по 4 часа (а то и все 10) гримировать Джейкоба Элорди под Существо, чтобы получить на выходе нави из «Аватара», которого можно было бы и так нарисовать — все равно не видно этих усилий, если не знать. Все равно, не влезая в подробности, думаешь на автомате: а вот тут ИИ перестарался с просторностью интерьеров, надо было лучше промпты писать. А никакого ИИ типа не бы…

Выходит 2ой сезон «Лэндмена». Нашла у себя, что записала про первый. «Лэндмен» — типичный сериал Шеридана, слабее «Мэра Кингстауна», наверное, но хороший. Этнография/социология: как устроена нефтянка (в Техасе), кто работает и как, какая выработка, как влияют цены на нефть (колоссально, упали — город вымер), какой уровень травматизма (высокий) и пр. Блеск, как известно, — это часто лакановский Взгляд (вспомним анекдот о банке сардин, блеснувшей в воде, с которого начинается эта теория). Скопление, навал стекла у Соммера лишен блеска. Фотография «матовая», многие бутылки затемненного стекла, или стекло припорошено пылью, заляпано грязью, да и вообще никакой концептуальной чистоты здесь нет — это свалка, помимо стекла, есть и деревяшки, и пластик.
