Сомерсет Моэм «Луиза», 1926. Один из самых популярных рассказов Моэма – о «высотах» манипулирования людьми. Крошечный. Удовольствие гарантировано. Мне понравилось, как кто-то сказал, что в произведениях Моэма "убийственная точность наблюдения". Так и здесь. А еще прекрасная ирония. Открыл для себя Леонида Андреева – «Рассказ о семи повешенных», 1908. Тяжелая, но психологически точная и глубокая повесть – по сути, художественный манифест против смертной казни.
