وأمَّا الشِّـرك في الإرادات والنِّيات،فذٰلك البحر الَّذي لا ساحل له، وقل من ينجو منه فمَن أراد بعمله غير وجه الله، أو نوىٰ شيئًا غير التَّقرُّب إليه وطلب الجزاء منه، فَقد أشرك في نيَّته وإرادته. اِبۡن القيِّم/ الدَّاء والدَّواء .
- أكثروا من الاستغفار في بيوتكم، وعلىٰ موائدكم، وفي طرقكم، وفي أسواقكم، وفي مجالسكم أينما كنتم، فإنَّكم ما تدرون متىٰ تنزل المغفرة. - الحَسن البصري ..
فكان كعبٌ لا ينساها لطلحة. وكانت أُمُّنا عائشةُ لا تنساها لامرأةٍ من الأنصار جلست تبكي معها. فلمّا رأتها تبكي، بكت معها فكلّما بكت، بكت معها. أبدًا، لا ننسى من هرول إلينا في ظلمتنا. "

وَاللَّـهُ أَرحَمُ بِالفَتى مِن نَفسِهِ فَاعمَل فَما كُلِّفتَ ما لَم تَستَطِع.
لا تفقد السماء صوتك كُن عبداً إذا دعا تعرفه الملائكة فتقول : ياربّ صوتٌ معروف من عبدٍ معروف ابنُ القيّم
- عوُّدوا أنفسكم علىٰ أن تلتمسوا لُطف اللّٰه فـي كل شيء ، حتَّىٰ في الأحداث الَّتي تأتي غامضة، وفي كُل ضائقة. عوِّدوا أنفسكم علىٰ قول: لعلَّه خير، لعلَّ اللّٰه صرفَ عنِّي شرًا أجهله، لعلَّ بعد ذٰلك فرجٌ ويُسر وتيسير، عوِّدوا أنفسكم علىٰ الرِّضا دائمًا. فَسترون بعدها كيف أنَّ اللّٰه يُرضيكـم ويكفيكـم ..
العِيشة الهنيَّة الرَّاضية البَاقـيَة، هوَ عَيش الآخِرة أمَّا الدُّنيا فإنَّه مهمَا طابَ عيشهَا فَمآلها للفَناء.
- ألح علىٰ الله بأنۡ يحفظ النُّور الَّذي في قلبك مِنۡ أنۡ تتخطَّفه صوارف الفتن، كما تُلح عليه عند طلب حاجةٍ مِنۡ حوائج الدُّنيا..
كل عام وانتو بخير تقبل الله منا ومنكم صالح الاعمال)
البكاء علىٰ الأطلال لن يُجدي نفعًا فإمَّا أن تعمل علىٰ نفسك في إيمانها وتقواها وتزكيتها، وتكُن خير خلفٍ لخيرِ سلف؛ وإلَّا سوف يأتيَ يوم الحصاد الَّذي تكون فيه عالةً علىٰ غيرك، هشًّا فارغًا، وإذا أبصرتَ حقائق الأمور وجدِّيتها، ستُدرك مدىٰ صعوبة ما أنت فيه.
ومن رضيَ عَمَلَ قَومٍ حُشِرَ مَعهُم كما حُشرت امرأة لوطٍ مَعهُم، ولم تكن تعمل فاحشة اللواط، فإن ذلكَ لا يقع من المرأة. ولكنها لَمَّا رَضِيت فِعلَهُم عَمَّهَا العذابُ مَعَهُم ". [دقائق التفسير الجامع لتفسير ابن تيمية (جـ ٤ صـ ٤٢٠)]
