Продолжение великолепного альбома Femme Fatale чилийки Mon Laferte звучит как будто сильно консервативней, чем я ждал. После сносящей башню первой части, сиквел куда как спокойней и проще, что ли. Даже панк-роковая Etorno Esplandor и прорывающиеся кусочки альтернативного рока не способны вызвать волнение в этом океане. Это безумно красиво и просто идеально зашло под мидсаммер найт, но все же чуточку 🤏 сиквел уступае…
Я кстати, исправился и посмотрел Once. Это просто прекрасная трогательная история. Очень жаль, что я не сделал это раньше.

Открывают пятничный альбомный твиттер мои большие любимцы Domi Louna и JD Beck с новым альбомом Who's Asking. Ребята кажется нашли баланс в своём супер техничном джазовом инструментале и сделали не просто набор чумовых интерлюдий на сумасшедших размерах, а именно что песен. Да, пусть это все ещё звучит немного по-гиперпопски, но тут за сумасшедшей техничностью чувствуется эмоция.
Уважаемые люди пишут, что погиб Глен Хансард. И в этом месте я должен был бы пробросить мостик на фильм Once, как и в случае с Кавински, но... Я не смотрел ни одного фильма Джона Карни. И, действительно, собирался посмотреть буквально на днях, но не успел. Так что пусть этот некролог останется памятником моей лености к просвещению.
В общем, я обещал переслушать - я переслушал. 1. Не понимаю какой смысл писать с отсылками на саму себя? Капец, мы тут делаем рок-мюзик с блядским автотюном и про свой же лор. 2. Тексты, в принципе, тупые, потому что нельзя писать мемчики специально, ну это помимо того что качество самих текстов стремится к каким-то черновикам, собранным по чуланам сознания. 3. Музыкальная составляющая.. Ну окей, тут можно найти …
Обещал сегодня переслушать ещё раз альбом Шарлотты, но настолько не хочу, что был согласен даже на новый Yard Act. You're Gonna Need a Little Music потерял всю абразивность и остроту первых двух альбомов, а взамен стал отдавать Pulp'ом и даже какой-то непонятный репчик вкрячили в середину. В общем, все это достаточно обаятельно, но, по большей части, хрень. Надеюсь, они так больше не будут.
Стойкая моя ассоциация с уже культовым фильмом Drive - это Nightcall. Очень жаль, мужчины не должны умирать от инсульта в 50.
#некролог Только что пришла новость, что скончался французский продюсер, ди-джей и актёр Венсан Белорже, более известный как Kavinsky. Удивительно, но ему было аж 50 лет (думал, намного меньше), причина смерти – инсульт. За свою довольно продолжительную карьеру, длившуюся более 20 лет, он создал не очень много музыки – пара студийных LP, охапка EP и ремиксов, – но навсегда остался в памяти благодаря хиту 'Nightcall'…

Зато у американцев Puracane Бристоля хватает: музыкальные паттерны Things You Should Leave Alone отсылают к Трики, вокал Али Роджерс напоминает что-то среднее между Бьорк и Келли Али. Плюс тут ещё Нокс Чендлер - мастер вписывать гитарные пассажи в трип-хоп, что он продемонстрирует на том же Депешевском Exciter, например. Банда была амбициозная и альбом удался. Выйди он чуть пораньше 2000 года. Но это все ещё максимал…
Мне тут, вообще-то, положено и про старьё всякое писать, хроника же, поэтому вот альбом бразильского культового малого Амона Тобина - Bricolage. Несмотря на то, что альбом классика Нинзя Тюн и, в целом, трип хопа, Бристоля вы тут не найдёте, а вот Дарк джаза на джангловых биточках здесь навалено от души. Причём, и в семплах тут вполне старый ламповый джазец, но скомпилированы они так, что мрачная и тревожная атмосфер…
