«Украденный трон» и «Призыв» Дэвида Гейдера я читала в электронке, с телефона и ради фанфика. В принципе, они не показались настолько вау, чтобы расчищать место на книжной полке. О «Ночных кошмарах» Элис Вернон и «Дракуле» (1/2) Некоторое время тому назад прочитала книгу Элис Вернон «Ночные кошмары: нарушения сна и как мы с ними живем наяву». Автор — преподаватель литературы в одном из британских университетов, её докторская посвящена исследованию бессонницы и сна в мировой литературе. Это, как показалось, обещало книгу на стыке науки и литературы… Как книга по теме — не зашла, но зацепила…

Уже два года не заказывала иллюстрации к фанфику, хотя в голове вертелась пара задумок. Иногда пыталась оформить их в ТЗ на будущее, но дальше не заходила. Зато с интересом смотрела репосты работ художников на творческих флэшмобах, переходила в каналы и пыталась мысленно приложить свою задумку к их стилю. Будет ли сочетаться? Не попадаю ли в то, про что человек пишет, что рисовать это не любит? Открываются ли заказы…

Про самый интересный фанфик по DAO (1/2) Хорошая знакомая взяла ставку школьного библиотекаря и проводила опрос среди старшеклассников, какие книги они хотели бы.
