در ۱۴ ژوئن ۱۹۹۲، چتنیکها (صربهای افراطی) به رهبری میلان لوکیچ، یکی از خونخوارترین جنایتکاران صرب اهل ویشهگراد، ۶۵ غیرنظامی بوسنیایی را که اکثر آنها زن و کودک بودند به زور وارد خانهای در خیابان پیونیرسکا در این شهر کردند و سپس خانه را به آتش کشیدند. تنها یک نفر با عواقب شدید جسمی و روانی جان سالم به در برد. بیش از ۳۰۰۰ نفر از ساکنان شهر ویشهگراد در جریان جنگ بوسنی به قتل رسیدند.
