💡 دراسة صينية حديثة شاركت بها أكثر من 15000 امرأة تؤكد أن اللاتي يبدأن الحيض في عُمر مُبكر (14 سنة أو أقل) قد يكونوا أكثر عُرضة للإصابة بمرض السكري من النوع الثاني. مع الأخذ بالاعتبار أن لكتلة الجسم والتغذية الصحية وقت الطفولة دور في ارتفاع خطر الإصابة. كما أن الخطر ينخفض إحصائيًا كلما تأخر حيضها (بمعدل 6% لكل سنة).

جندي في الحرب الأهلية الأمريكية إسمه Willis Meadows (على اليسار) أصيب برصاصة في عينه اليمنى من الجندي Peter Knapp (على اليمين) ولكن عاش والرصاصة ظلت موجودة بالقرب من دماغه، بعد الحادثة في 58 سنة مرض بالزكام و أتت له نوبة سعال شديدة و نزلت رصاصة من فمه وهو يسعل !
