Меня бесит одна вещь в классическом фэнтези. И я убил её в «Материке». Орки. Тупые, орущие, убивающие — просто потому что орки. Без мотивов, без смысла, без единой умной мысли за жёлтыми глазами. Это клише так въелось в жанр, что читатель уже не ждёт от орков ничего, кроме рычания. Именно поэтому я сделал их иными. В «Материке» орки воинственны — это часть их культуры, а не ограниченность.
