Esperé hasta que fuera la familia de Onai quien hablara (y ya habló ) y también tener la serenidad personal para hacerlo después de tanto dolor. Y aunque aún hay que llegar a él y cerrar este círculo con certeza, quiero compartir esto con quienes estuvieron siguiendo esta historia desde el principio. Durante estos días les pedimos ayuda para ellos una y otra vez. Y ustedes respondieron de una manera que nunca olvida…

Bueno. Si durante estos dos días les hemos pedido ayuda para rescatar a Onai (y se ha conseguido) también siento la responsabilidad de contarles que están en la última fase, aunque también una de las más delicadas. Allí están su familia, sus amigos voluntarios y los equipos de rescate venezolanos, mexicanos y salvadoreños. Onai sigue dando señales de vida con los ya conocidos tres toques. Onai está vivo. Está localizado. Equipos de Protección Civil confirmaron su respiración y su pulso con equipos especializados. Durante todo el día, el papá de Onai Quiñones, sus amigos y voluntarios han trabajado sin descanso para llegar hasta él entre los escombros del edificio Yurre Beach en Caraballeda. Sí se puede. Después de más de 32 horas bajo los escombros, una madre y su bebé fueron rescatados con vida. Su esposo nunca abandonó la búsqueda ni la esperanza.
