فِي نَظْرَتِهَا أَسْرَارُ لَيْلٍ لَا يَنْتَهِي، وَفِي صَمْتِهَا مَوْجٌ يَهْدِرُ بِالْوَعْدِ وَالْوَعِيدِ، تَتَأَمَّلُهَا فَتَشْعُرُ أَنَّكَ تُقْرَأُ كِتَابًا أَنْتَ مَنْ كَتَبَهُ، وَلَا تَفْهَمُ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا. إِنَّهَا لُغْزٌ مُغْلَقٌ بِسِحْرٍ قَدِيمٍ، يَنْتَشِرُ فِي الْهَوَاءِ كَشَذَى لَا يُرَى وَلَا يُنْسَى. تَجْعَلُكَ تُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ بَعْضَ الْعُيُونِ أَبْوَابٌ، وَمَنْ يَعْبُرُهَا لَا يَعُودُ كَمَا كَانَ.
