روز جهانی لایه ازن؛ اهمیت حفظ لایهای که ترمیم آن ۵۰ سال زمان میبرد. ۱۶ سپتامبر مصادف با ۲۵ شهریور روز جهانی حفاظت از لایه ازن است؛ لایهای که با جذب پرتو فرابنفش خورشید موجب ادامه زندگی روی کره زمین میشود و حفظ آن نیازمند توجه و اقداماتی جهانی است. اگر استفاده از گازهای مخرب این لایه به حد کافی کاهش یابد، حدود ۵۰ سال زمان میبرد تا لایه ازن بتواند خود را ترمیم کند.
