ورد سقراط رداً يجعلك تتساءل عن مدى صحة العقلية ، حيث قال ان المعرفة موجودة داخل الإنسان أصلاً ! وان التعلم ليس " اكتساباً ". بل " تذكر " عقلك لا يخلق الحقيقة. بل يزيل الغبار عنها فقط.
هنا المفارقة تصبح اخطر من مجرد فلسفة وهلس زايد، لانها تسأل: مل الإنسان يبحث عن الحقيقة فعلاً، أم فقط يبحث عن شيء يشعر انه " الحقيقة") ومالذي يحدد تلك الحقيقة) دينك ؟ تربيتك؟ مجتمعك ؟ السلطان ؟ العالم ؟ امك ؟
أنت تبحث عن الحب وتسعى إليه ، لكن كيف لك ذالك حين انك لم تذق الحب يوما؟ . كل ما حولك : - أمّ غائبة عاطفياً أب نرجسي اخ اكبر يسعى للهروب لقارة أخرى. ف كيف ستعرف أصلا انك حصلت على الحب؟ هل تبحث عن شيء حقيقي؟ أم نسخته التي تتواجد داخل عقلك؟.
مفارقة مينو تضرب فكرة التعلم من أساسها. مثلاً كيف لطفل بدوي لم يرا البحر يوماً ان يبحث عن البحر ؟ . هو لا يعرف شكله ، ولا رائحته، ولا حتى ماذا تعني كلمة " بحر ". فمالذي سيقوده إليه؟.
نقل ذى اللسان السليط أفلاطون حوار قد حدث ذات عصر بين سقراط ورجل يدعى " مينو". سأل مينو سؤالاً هزا كيان ما يحدد الحقيقه سابقاً : "كيف يتعلم الإنسان شيئا يجهله تماماً؟" لأنك إذا تعرفه ، فلا حاجة للتعلم، وان. جهلته الجهل التام ، فلن تستطيع التعرف عليه.
تخيل معي ان يطلب احد منك ان تبحث الحقيقة ، وترد عليه ب " كيف ؟ ". ف إذا كنت تعرف الحقيقة أصلاً انت لا تحتاج للبحث عنها . وإذا كنت لا تعرفها ، ف كيف ستعرف أنها الحقيقة حين إيجادها ؟. هنا تبدأً مفارقة مينو.
