Планам конец. В Оклахоме всё оказалось паршивее, чем я думал. Тварь была не одна — наткнулся на целое гнездо, когда полез в старые шахты за лесопилкой. Одного достал, остальные разбежались по лесам. Вторые сутки в Оклахоме. Нашёл след у старой лесопилки на окраине округа. Как и думал — никакой это не «дикий зверь», как пишут в местных газетах. Завтра выдвигаюсь. В Оклахоме снова дерьмо началось: три нападения за неделю, у всех вырваны сердца. Почерк знакомый, так что разберусь быстро. Всё как обычно. С Мэри чуть ли не поругались. Час как всё вернулось на свои места. Мы сидели в номере, и в одну секунду обмен завершился. Снова почувствовать ширину своих плеч и нормальный вес в руках — лучшее, что случилось за эти три дня. Пока все дрыхли, я захотела пошататься в 5 утра около Диснейленда, планировала изначально даже тихонько пробраться... Ну да ладно. Зато мне понравилось.
