يعاني من الضربة !! لقد بقي الإمام علي (ع) يعاني من ضربة المجرم الأثيم ابن ملجم ، ثلاثة أيام ، عهد خلالها بالإمامة إلى ابنه الإمام الحسن المُجتبى (ع)، وطوال تلك الأيام الثلاثة كان(ع) يلهج بذكر الله، والرضا بقضائه، والتسليم لأمره، كما كان يُصدر الوصية تلو الوصية، داعيًا إلى إقامة حدود الله عزوجل ، محذراً من اتباع الهوىٰ والتراجع عن حمل الرسالة الإسلامية .

وفي كتاب الخرائج قال عمرو بن الحمق : دخلت على علي(ع)، حين ضرب الضربة بالكوفة، فقلت : ليس عليك بأس إنّما هو خدش، قال: لعمري إنّي لمفارقكم، ثم أغمي عليه ، فبكت أم كلثوم، فلما أفاق قال (ع): لا تؤذيني يا أم كلثوم ، فإنّك لو ترين ما أرى، إنّ الملائكة من السماوات السبع بعضهم خلف بعض والنبيين يقولون انطلق يا علي فما أمامك خير لك مما أنت فيه .

بعد ضربة الإمام علي ! حمل الإمام علي (ع) إلى داره بعد ضربه لما ضرب أمير المؤمنين احتمل فأدخل داره فقعدت لبابة عند رأسه وجلست أم كلثوم عند رجليه ففتح عينيه فنظر إليهما فقال: الرفيق الأعلى خير مستقراً وأحسن مقيلاً. وأخذ ابن ملجم فأدخل على علي، فقال أطيبوا طعامه، وألينوا فراشه، فإن أعش فأنا ولي دمي، عفو أو قصاص، وإن مت فألحقوه بي أخاصمه عند رب العالمين.

فزت و رب الكعبة ! وخرج الإمام علي (ع) وصلى بالناس فبينما هو ساجد ضربه اللعين ابن ملجم على رأسه بالسيف فصاح الإمام صلوات الله وسلامه عليه : فزت ورب الكعبة فقال بعض من حضر ذلك : فرأيت بريق السيف وسمعت قائلاً يقول لله الحكم يا علي لا لك، ثم رأيت سيفاً ثانياً فضربا جميعاً، فأما سيف عبد الرحمن بن ملجم فأصاب جبهته إلى قرنه ووصل إلى دماغه، وأما سيف شبيب فوقع في الطاق، وسمعت علياً يقول: لا يفوتنكم الرجل. وشد الناس عليهما م…
