Натуральный урбеч, кухня и архитектура. Все еще стоит в селе и дом Чундаева — памятник градостроительства и архитектуры регионального значения. Это один из красивейших сельских домов — классического горского стиля. Каменный фасад дома Чундаева виден еще издали, на подходе к селу. Хотода — родина известного, наверное, каждому дагестанцу Хочбара, боровшегося в XVII веке за независимость Гидатлинского вольного обществ…
Хотода: прогулка по колоритному аулу. Почти каждое село в горах Дагестана — подарок для любопытного путешественника. Хотода — не исключение. В старом квартале села еще сохранился дом со сигнально-сторожевой башней, где жил наиб имама Шамиля Мугурил Гитинав. Дом находится на краю скалистого обрыва, откуда просматривается вся Гидатлинская долина. Увы, сегодня сохранилась лишь часть дома, верхний этаж башни разрушен. …
