Третий том в серии про вампиров автора Дженны Левайн оказался для меня наименее удачным (а вот обложка самая крутая). То ли читать в третий раз о давидовом торсе вампира, его сильных руках и широких плечах утратило свой шарм. То ли мысли мои постоянно были на другой книге о, гхм, Риме... Но как-то не цеплял меня сюжет от слова совсем. Все излюбленные тропы вызывали в основном скуку, хотелось какого-то сюжета покрепче…

Врываюсь к вам с внезапной рекомендацией в лице Луция Аннея Сенеки и его "Нравственных писем к Луцилию". Каждый раз беря в руки книгу автора двухтысячелетней давности боюсь, что мне будет не интересно, я не смогу уследить за мыслью и понять отсылки. И каждый раз я убеждаюсь, что эти тексты вне времени.
