دخلَ النبي(ص) ذات يوم مسجد المدينة فشاهد جماعتين من الناسِ كانت الجماعة الأولى منشغلةً بالعبادة والذكر والأخرى بالتعليم والتعلم فألقى عليهما نظرة فرحٍ واستبشار وقال للذين كانوا برفقتهِ مشيراً الى الفئة الثانية: ما أحسن ما يقومُ بهِ هؤلاء ثم أضاف قائلاً: اِنما بُعثتُ للتعليم ثم ذهب وجلس مع الجماعة الثانية ؟!
