غربیها فقط جان ما را نگرفتند؛ نفس تاریخی یک جامعه را بریدند. چنان فضای خفقان، امنیتیسازی و انسداد بر ایران حاکم کردند که شاید سالها زمان لازم باشد تا جامعه دوباره بتواند به نقطهای بازگردد که پیش از این ویرانیها در آن ایستاده بود. آری، پاسخ این پرسشها در همین نهفته است: قدرتهای بزرگ، هنگامی که به سرزمینها حمله میکنند، فقط دولتها را هدف نمیگیرند؛ آنان امکانِ «شدن» ملتها را نابود میکنند.
