ومثّل من يلتفتُ في صلاته ببصره أو بقلبه، مثل رجلٍ قد استدعاه السلطان، فأوقفه بين يديه، وأقبل يناديه ويخاطبه، وهو في خلال ذلك يلتفت عن السلطان يمينًا وشمالاً وقد انصرف قلبه عن السلطان، فلا يفهم ما يخاطبه به؛ لأن قلبه ليس حاضرًا معه، فما ظن هذا الرجل أن يفعل به السلطان؟ أفليس أقل المراتب في حقه أن ينصرف من بين يديه ممقوتًا مبعدًا قد سقط من عينيه؟ فهذا المُصلِّي لا يستوي والحاضر القلب المقبل على وجه الله تعالى في صلاته…

حينما تقف في صلاتك بين يدي الله تعالى تذكر عظمة الله، وأحضر قلبك، وتدبر في الآيات، وقف مع معاني الأذكار، واجمع بين الخوف والرجاء، وصل صلاة مودع، وأحسن الاستعداد قبل ذلك؛ تجد بذلك بإذن الله تحقيق عبادة الخشوع التي جاء فيها الحديث: "أول شيء يرفع من هذه الأمة الخشوع حتى لا ترى خاشعا".

أداءَ الصلاةِ في غيرِ وقتِها لا يحقِّقُ فَضْلَها مِن كَسْبِ الحسناتِ وتكفيرِ السيِّئاتِ، وكلَّما كانتِ الصلاةُ في وقتِها، كان ذلك أعظَمَ للأجرِ وأكبَرَ للأثرِ، وقد سُئِل النبيُّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم عن أفضَلِ العملِ؟ فقال: (الصَّلاَةُ عَلَى وَقْتِهَا).
