Я победила «Бремя страстей человеческих»! Книга очень хороша своей неспешной рефлексией. Но, на мой взгляд, назвать это романом взросления сложно и английское название — «Of Human Bondage», более точно передает её содержимое и финал. Читали? Понравилась?

Сегодня не заленилась прогуляться после работы по Таврическому саду и заглянуть в итальянский ресторанчик на ужин. В саду было много читающих, гуляющих и наслаждающихся жизнью людей 💔

Возвращаюсь к дочитыванию "Бремя страстей человеческих". Она встала, надела жакет и быстро вышла из ресторана. Филип остался сидеть. Он решил, что не тронется с места, но не прошло и десяти минут, как он вскочил в пролетку и погнался за ней, сообразив, что она поедет на вокзал на конке и они попадут туда одновременно. Филип заметил ее на перроне, постарался, чтобы она его не увидела, и поехал в Херн-хилл тем же поез…
