‘Āshūrā’ and the Significance of Pure ‘Aqīdah The Jews used to commemorate the day of ‘Āshūrā’ by fasting it, as this was the day Allāh (ﷻ) saved Mūsā (عليه السلام) and his people from Fir’awn; but the Prophet (ﷺ) informed the believers that they had more of a “right” or “claim” to Mūsā than the Jews. [1] This is because the Muslims are upon the same ‘aqīdah (belief) as Mūsā (عليه السلام) whereas the Jews disbelieve…

Engagement
18 posts held, back to 13 March 2026 — the reader has not yet reached the start of this channel’s public history, so older posts may sit further back, unread. Read across 1 page of Telegram’s post history, 20 posts per page.
Nothing published in the last 30 days. ERR and ER are rolling 30-day measures, so there is nothing to compute — we hold 18 posts for this entry, the most recent from 25 June 2026. An engagement rate over an empty window would be a number about nothing.

Lifetime counters from Telegram’s own channel header, read 26 August 2026 — not the date at the top of this page, which is when the subscriber count was last read. Below Telegram’s rounding threshold, so these counts are exact.
Reaction mix
11 reactions across 7 posts, in 2 distinct kinds. The most used accounts for 81.8% of them.
| Reaction | Count | Share | Share, drawn |
|---|---|---|---|
| ❤ | 9 | 81.8% | |
| 👍 | 2 | 18.2% |
No sentiment is inferred, and none should be read in. This table is ordered by count and by nothing else. Emoji do not carry stable meaning across languages or communities — 🙏 is thanks in one channel and mourning in another — so we publish which ones were pressed and how often, and pass no judgement on what an audience meant by them.
Precision. Telegram publishes reaction counts per emoji and short-forms each one — 4.34K, 1.2M — so any single kind at or above 1,000 reaches us at three significant figures, and only counts below 1,000 are exact. The shares above are ratios of those figures and carry the same error. This is also why the total here can differ slightly from a reaction total printed elsewhere on the page: both are sums of the same rounded parts, taken over samples with different edges.
Coverage. Reactions were read on 8 of the 18 sampled posts in this sample. Summed by Telegram’s own count on each post — not by adding up the per-emoji breakdown above — those same posts carry 11 reactions in total: the kind of figure the paragraph above means by “a reaction total printed elsewhere on the page”.
Measured over the 18 most recent posts we hold, published 13 March 2026 to 25 June 2026, using the newest reading held for each. Telegram Stars are excluded: they are a payment, not a reaction, and they have their own section.

🍃🍂 Narrations concerning ‘Āshūrā’ that are NOT authentic 🍂🍃 It is attributed to ‘Abd-ul-Lāh ibn ‘Abbās that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: مَنِ اكْتَحَلَ بالإِثْمَدِ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ لَمْ يَرْمَدْ أَبَدًا “Whoever applies kuḥl with iṫhmid [a stone used to produce kuḥl] on the day of ‘Āshūrā’ will never suffer a sore eye ever.” 📌 This is a fabrication. It is attributed to Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Al…

🍃🍃 Ḥadīth Benefit ≈ فائدة حديثية 🍃🍃 __ Know that there is nothing authentic concerning the Prophet ﷺ fasting the ten days of Ṫhūl-Ḥijjah, nor a specific virtue for fasting them. As for the Prophet ﷺ fasting them, then the weak aḥādīth are negated by the authentic narration of ˋĀ’ishah (رضي الله عنها) who said: مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَائِمًا فِي الْعَشْرِ قَطُّ I never saw the …

5. The ḥadīth of Umm Salamah comes in contradiction to the ḥadīth of ‘Ā’ishah who said: كنت أفتل قلائد هدي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدَيَّ، ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهَا وَمَا يُمْسِكُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِمَّا يُمْسِكُ عَنْهُ الْمُحْرِمُ حَتَّى يُنْحَرَ هَدْيُهُ “I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) with my hands, then he would send them [to be slaughtered…

Question: What is the ruling on the removal of hair and clipping the nails for the one who wants to perform an uḍḥiyah but is not performing the Ḥajj? Answer: This is a matter in which scholars past and present differed over, mainly due to the acceptability of the narration of Sa’īd ibn al-Musayyib, from Umm Salamah, from the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) who said: إِذَا دَخَلَتِ الْعَشْرُ وَأَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُضَحّ…

This verse is unrestricted. None one can claim that if a person did not fast any days after Ramaḍān until they fasted six days in Sha’bān - the month just before that next Ramaḍān - then they are devoid of this reward. To claim this, they would need to prove that any other day fasted outside of Shawwāl will not be given ten times the like thereof in reward. And how can this be the case when it is proven from the Sun…

Dispute Concerning Fasting the Six Days of Shawwāl The general meaning of the ḥadīth concerning this matter states: مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَأَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوّالٍ كَانَ كَصِيَامِ الدّهْرِ “Whoever fasts Ramaḍān and follows it with six [days] from Shawwāl, it is similar to fasting the year.” This is a matter scholars past and present differed over. Ibn Rajab said, “Differing [among the scholars] took place …

The above article has to do with the ruling of whether attending the Jumu'ah khuṭbah is obligatory for the one who attends the 'Īd prayer. This is an issue in which there is ikhtilāf (differing), so if one holds it to be obligatory based on there not being anything authentic from the Prophet (ﷺ), then attending it would be wājib (obligatory) for them. This article is mainly to show that no inkār (denunciation) should…

Showing the 12 most recent of 18 posts we hold for @dirasatalsunnah. View and reaction counts are the latest single reading for each post, not a live figure, and a recent post is still accumulating both. A view count marked ≈ was rounded by Telegram before we ever saw it — t.me prints views in full below 1,000 and to three significant figures above, so ≈1,200,000 means somewhere between 1,150,000 and 1,249,999. Unmarked counts are exact. Text is reproduced from the public post preview and truncated for length.
Mentions
Named by 1 registered channel — every channel on the register whose own posts have named this one, by its current username or any other username it currently holds, merged from two separately captured readings of the same fact so a namer caught by only one of them is not missed and a namer both caught is not counted twice. A username this channel has since dropped is not matched — that handle may belong to someone else now, and crediting today’s namer to yesterday’s owner would misattribute it.
Named by
Channels on the register whose posts name this channel's handle.
A mention is a weaker signal than a forward and is counted separately for that reason — naming a channel is not republishing it, and a handle in a post body is easy to place deliberately. The post counts beside each row below are distinct posts in which the handle appeared, from posts we have read on both sides — the “Named by N registered channels” figure above is a different count, of distinct NAMING CHANNELS rather than posts, and is not the sum of the rows under it.
