В Марий Эл начался приём заявлений на дистанционное электронное голосование на выборах в Госдуму и муниципальных выборах в сентябре. Заявки принимаются через портал «Госуслуги». После одобрения статус сменится на «Учтено ЦИК». Голосование пройдёт с 18 по 20 сентября с 8:00 до 20:00 на платформе vybory.gov.ru. Избирком гарантирует защиту данных и тайну голосования.
В Медведевском районе пропал Иван Биленко. По данным «ЛизаАлерт», он вышел из маршрутки Чебоксары–Йошкар-Ола и исчез, позже недалеко от остановки нашли его вещи и документы. Заявка поступила 31 июля, поиски начались в тот же день: волонтёры опрашивали свидетелей, распространяли ориентировки и прочёсывали местность. К поиску привлекли 107 человек, обследовано 422 км.
Пять человек пострадали в ДТП, которое произошло накануне на трассе Йошкар-Ола – Уржум в Советском районе. По предварительной информации, столкнулись автомобили Ford Focus и Hyundai Solaris. Травмы получили 5 человек, в том числе водитель Hyundai Solaris и двое несовершеннолетних пассажиров.
