Саввинское подворье в Москве было построено в 1907г. на Тверской улице как доходный дом с магазинами и конторами. Сейчас, проезжая по Тверской улице вы его не увидите. Но! Если заглянуть во двор дома по адресу Тверская улица д.6, то вот оно, подворье - перед вами. Дело в том, что в рамках расширения Тверской улицы в 1939г. многие дома сносили. Но снести такую красоту видимо рука не поднялась. И Подворье решили прост…

Недалеко от улицы Ильинка, в самом центре Москвы, есть небольшой Старопанский переулок. Там стоит маленькая уютная Церковь Космы и Дамиана в Старых Панех. Сейчас эта Церковь восстановлена в той части, которая сохранилась. По легенде в этой церкви венчался Иван Грозный со своей шестой! женой Василисой Мелентьевой. Брак этот не был счастливым. Василиса попала в опалу из-за своего внимания к оружничему и была пострижена…
