ورد في حديث النبي ﷺ أن في يوم الجمعة ساعةً لا يوافقها عبدٌ مسلم وهو قائم يصلي أو يدعو الله إلا أعطاه سؤله، ورجح عدد من الصحابة والعلماء أنها آخر ساعة بعد صلاة العصر إلى غروب الشمس رواه البخاري ومسلم، لاتنسونا من صالح دعائكم ولكم بالمثل

عن ابن الديلمي قال : أتيت أُبيّ بن كعب فقلت له وقع في نفسي شيء من القدر فحدثني بشيء لعل الله أن يذهبه من قلبي؟ فقال: لو أن الله عذب أهل سماواته وأهل أرضه لعذبهم وهو غير ظالم لهم، ولو رحمهم كانت رحمته خيرا لهم من أعمالهم، ولو أنفقت مثل أحد ذهبا في سبيل الله ما قبله الله منك حتى تؤمن بالقدر، وتعلم أن ما أصابك لم يكن ليخطئك ،وأن ما أخطاك لم يكن ليصيبك، ولو مت على غير هذا لدخلت النار.
اللهم إني أسلمت نفسي إليك، وفوضت أمري إليك، وألجأت ظهري إليك رهبة ورغبة إليك، لا ملجأ ولا منجى منك إلا إليك.

عن سهل بن سعد الساعدي رضي الله عنه ، عن النبي ﷺ قال : أتاني جبريل عليه السلام فقال: «يا محمَّدُ، عِش ما شئتَ فإنَّك ميِّتٌ، وأحبِب مَن شئتَ فإنَّك مفارقه، واعمَل ما شئتَ فإنَّك مجزيٌّ به، واعلم أنَّ شرف المؤمن قيامه باللَّيل، وعزَّه استغناؤه عن النَّاس».
